Rome’s Secret Cooking Club

Rome’s Secret Supper Club have collaborated with Giulia Colombo, born and bred in Rome, only a few streets away from us in Prati. Eight years ago it was actually Giulia’a brother Carlo who introduced us over a memorable meal in the back streets of Trastevere; immediately our shared love of cuisine united us. Passionate about all ‘Cucina Romana’, Giulia is extremely skillful and knowledgeable in the kitchen she uses the most authentic ingredients from our local market “Trionfale” to create mouthwatering and inspiring Italian dishes.

Excitingly for us, Giulia can offer you a half-day workshop in our sunny apartment only minutes away from Vatican City. Forget those queues for the Sistine Chapel and experience a truly Roman morning with us.

We will meet you to discuss the menu over a proper Roman breakfast, “cappucino e cornetto” followed by a tour around a very true and local market where tourists are outnumbered at least 10 to 1 by the local nonnas. Here you can enjoy purchasing wonderful produce from Bufala mozzarella from Campania to locally produced wine from Lazio.

We will return to our apartment for a carefully designed workshop to teach you the key ingredients of Italian cooking. Giulia’s passion for cooking is quite infectious. We will create together an antipasto, primo, secondo and dolce… the perfect recipe for a relaxing lunch. Served with local wine, we can enjoy lunch together whilst discussing foodie gems you must try before the end of your visit to Rome.
